Abstract
This research investigates the extensive use of economic sanctions by the United States and their consequential impact on Iran, focusing on both short and long-term effects. Examining repercussions on the Iranian populace and government, the study delves into specific areas such as health, military spending, and overall governance. By analyzing Tehran's responses to these sanctions, the research reveals the deliberate use of economic sanctions by the U.S. as a political tool to exert control over Iran. Interviews with international relations experts were conducted to gather insights. The findings underscore the strategic utilization of economic sanctions, shedding light on their multifaceted implications on Iran's socio-political landscape
