Abstract
This article provides a critical and scholarly review of Dr. Khurshid Rizvi’s essay collection, "Ameezah" (2026). The author explores how the book skillfully integrates diverse genres, including character sketching, research-oriented travelogues, literary criticism, and translations. Through an analysis of various personality portraits, the study highlights that 'self-negation' and a deep affection for the subject are essential for impactful character sketching. Additionally, the article underscores Dr. Rizvi's profound command over Arabic, Persian, and English literatures, along with his ability to fuse Eastern and Western literary traditions. Ultimately, "Ameezah" reflects a refined sense of culture, grace, and academic responsibility, serving as an exemplary model for contemporary researchers.
