Abstract
Abstract Mycoplasma genitalium (MG) antimicrobial resistance is common in US sexual health clinics. Population-level prevalence is unknown. We tested National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2017-2018) specimens for MG resistance mutations (n=58). Macrolide resistance prevalence=42.7% (95% CI: 24.4%-62.7%). Quinolone resistance was not detected. Macrolide resistance-testing should guide azithromycin treatment.
