Abstract
This 24-month retrospective real-world study evaluated JAK inhibitors in 33 paediatric patients with moderate-to-severe alopecia areata. Clinical response increased progressively over time, with SALT50, SALT75 and SALT90 achieved by 88.2%, 76.5% and 52.9% of evaluable patients at Month 24, respectively. These findings support the long-term effectiveness of JAK inhibitors in paediatric alopecia areata and highlight the importance of adequate treatment duration before defining therapeutic failure.
