Abstract
We evaluated trends in MRSA hospitalizations and antimicrobial use from 2016-2024 across 40 U.S. children's hospitals. The rate of MRSA cases per 1000 hospitalizations decreased over time, while the rate of MRSA cases requiring ICU care remained constant. There was a marked inter-hospital variability in anti-MRSA antibiotic prescribing.
