Abstract
We retrospectively evaluated treatment discontinuation after sustained disease control among 379 biologic and JAK inhibitor treatment courses administered to 247 patients with atopic dermatitis. Discontinuation occurred in 13 cases (3.4%). Only one patient required treatment reintroduction, while the remaining 12 maintained disease control without systemic therapy during follow-up. Six patients remained treatment-free for at least one year. These findings suggest that treatment-free disease control may be achievable in a small subset of patients, although long-term treatment remains necessary for most individuals with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
