Abstract
Terkib-i bent, farklı kafiyelere sahip bentlerden oluşan ve bentlerin sonunda, aynı kafiyeye sahip birer beyit olan nazım şeklidir. Bu şiirlerde genellikle hayattan ve talihten şikâyet, toplumsal eleştiri, felsefî düşünceler ile dinî ve tasavvufi konular ele alınmıştır. Özellikle 16. yüzyıl şairlerinden Bağdatlı Rûhî’nin, yaşadığı devrin aksayan yönleri ve bunların toplumsal yapı üzerinde oluşturduğu olumsuzlukları eleştirel bir dille anlattığı terkib-i bendi şairler tarafından çok beğenilmiş, bu yüzyıl ve sonrasında birçok şair bu şiire nazire yazmıştır. Hayatı hakkında kaynaklarda herhangi bir bilgi bulunmayan Kütahyalı Meşkî de Bağdatlı Rûhî’ye nazire yazan şairlerdendir. Meşkî’nin terkib-i bendi de Bağdatlı Rûhî’nin şiiriyle aynı vezinde ve aynı bent sayısına sahiptir. Ancak Rûhî’nin terkîb-i bendi, sekizer beyitlik 17 bentten oluşurken Meşkî’nin terkib-i bendinin ise 14, 15 ve 16. bentleri dokuzar, diğerleri ise onar beyitten oluşmaktadır.Bu çalışmada Kütahyalı Meşkî’nin terkib-i bendinin şekil ve muhteva özellikleri üzerinde durulmuş ve bu şiirin çeviri yazısına yer verilmiştir.
