Abstract
Tanrı ve yaratılış kavramları insanın zihnini hep meşgul etmiştir. Tarih boyunca insan kendisine hediye edilmiş akıl sayesinde bunları sorgulamıştır. İlk yazılı metinlerden biri olan Gılgamış destanında ve efsanelerde tanrı ve yaratılış tasavvuruna bakıldığında “Gökteki Yüce Tanrı” inancının olduğu görülmektedir. Gök tanrıları en güçlü tanrılardır ve yaratma en önemli özellikleridir. Altay Türklerinin Yaratılış Efsanesi’nde de aynı doğrultuda bilgilere ulaşmaktadır. Bu durum ilk insandan beri tanrı ve yaratılış kavramlarının paralel olarak günümüze geldiğini göstermektedir. Bu bilgilerin aynı kaynaktan insanlara aktarıldığı söylenebilir.
