Abstract
The association between pemphigoid and malignancy remains controversial. In a national matched case-control analysis of the NIH All of Us database, encompassing 249 pemphigoid patients and 1,238 matched controls, we found no significant increase in hematologic, solid organ, or nonmelanoma skin cancer risk among patients with pemphigoid. These findings suggest that routine enhanced cancer screening beyond standard age-appropriate recommendations may not be warranted solely because of pemphigoid.
