Abstract
In this UK multi-centre study of 54 patients with severe alopecia areata, oral ritlecitinib 50 mg daily achieved a 27.8% (15/54) success rate (SALT≤20) at six months, demonstrating real-world efficacy and safety profiles comparable to pivotal clinical trials. Notably, success was numerically lower in patients with skin of colour (13.3% vs. 33.3% in Caucasian patients), a subgroup that presented with significantly higher baseline disease severity and a higher likelihood of past DCP or systemic treatment.
