Abstract
Patients diagnosed with melanoma currently require three monthly whole-body positron emission tomography–computed tomography (PET-CT) surveillance scans. However, frequent imaging could cause an unnecessary financial burden if cost-effectiveness of three-monthly scans does not significantly correlate with the recurrence pick up rate. The aim of this study was to assess the rate of recurrence with PET-CT scans in patients undergoing adjuvant treatment for melanoma.
