Abstract
Abstract We observed a sharp rise in invasive nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae disease at a tertiary medical center in Washington, DC. Nine adults presented over nine months with severe illness, with both clonal and non-clonal strains identified by genome sequencing. These findings suggest emerging transmission patterns and the need for expanded surveillance.
