Abstract
In response to Anwar et al this correspondence highlights several underrepresented aspects of scabies education within existing dermatology training resources, including longitudinal management, atypical clinical presentations and representation in skin of colour. We emphasise the challenges of distinguishing post-scabetic itch from treatment failure, the importance of recognising atypical phenotypes, and the need for broader dissemination of emerging diagnostic techniques such as ultraviolet-induced fluorescence dermoscopy and the burrow ink test.
