Abstract
Abstract Here we present a method to radiometrically calibrate Hα observations from the Télescope Héliographique pour l’Etude du Magnétisme et des Instabilités Solaires (THEMIS) from counts to physical units (e.g. erg s−1 cm−2 sr−1Å−1). This method is not unique to THEMIS, and can be applied to Hα spectral observations from any other spectrograph. Additionally, this method can be built on to calibrate other principal Balmer lines.
