Abstract
Lay Summary Patients with slow-growing brain tumors often experience problems with thinking abilities, fatigue, and reduced quality of life. This study examined how different aspects of thinking relate to quality of life at different stages of the disease. We found that problems with memory and language being most important early on, while the ability to control impulses and being flexible became more important in later phases. Fatigue was strongly linked to quality of life throughout. These findings suggest that support and rehabilitation should be tailored to the individual and may need to change over time to better address patients’ needs.
