Abstract
Polyhydroquinoline derivatives have been prepared efficiently in a one-pot synthesis via Hantzsch condensation using PEG-400 as reaction medium. The present method does not involve any hazardous organic solvents or toxic catalysts. The present methodology offers several advantages such as simple procedure, excellent yields with shorter reaction times and purification of products by non-chromatographic methods.
