Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) has become the new research area and being tested in closed environment to be deployed in real world. On the other hand, emergence of IoT in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an essential ingredient of technological development but even then it is not fully adopted especially in under developed countries. This research investigates the current status of IoT in ICT with respect to Pakistan and the challenges and efforts taken by the Pakistani Government and Institutions. This research reveals the current status and related issues of IoT in ICT so that swift measures may be taken to cope up with the situation in order to get enhance economic and technological advantage.
