Abstract
The rapid rise of social media has transformed political discourse globally, influencing public opinion, political participation, and even election outcomes. This cross-disciplinary study explores the multifaceted impact of social media on political discourse in Pakistan. Through political science, media studies, sociology, and communication, this article examines how social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, shape political narratives, amplify political ideologies, and mobilize public opinion. The paper integrates quantitative and qualitative research methodologies to analyze social media trends, political campaigns, and the role of influencers in shaping political debates. By reviewing case studies of political events, protests, and electoral campaigns in Pakistan, this study provides insights into the challenges and opportunities social media presents for political communication. The study concludes with recommendations for harnessing social media's power for enhancing democratic processes while mitigating the risks of misinformation.
