Abstract
Global logistics management (GLM) and outsourcing strategies have gained pivotal importance in enhancing supply chain efficiency and competitiveness for multinational and local firms alike. This study investigates the evolving dynamics of GLM with a particular focus on outsourcing strategies in the Pakistani context. Through a mixed-methods approach, this research explores the trends, key drivers, challenges, and strategic implications for manufacturing and retail sectors. Data collected from 200 logistics managers across Pakistan provide empirical evidence on how outsourcing logistics functions affect cost reduction, customer satisfaction, and operational agility. The results indicate a positive correlation between third-party logistics (3PL) usage and performance outcomes but also highlight risk factors related to trust, data security, and infrastructural constraints. The paper concludes with policy recommendations and a strategic framework to enhance GLM practices in Pakistan.
