Abstract
Social realism in Urdu literature has emerged as a powerful genre that highlights the socio-political struggles and cultural transformations of society. This article explores how social realism reflects the realities of marginalized communities, gender disparities, and class struggles. Through an analysis of prominent Urdu writers and their works, it examines the ways in which Urdu literature has given voice to social issues while critiquing the systemic problems within society. The role of literature as a tool for social change is discussed, with a focus on how social realism offers both a mirror to society and a means of challenging oppressive systems.
