Abstract
This research paper delves into the significant role of spirituality and Sufism in Urdu Ghazal. It explores how Urdu poets, especially in the classical period, incorporated Sufi thoughts and spiritual themes in their ghazals. The study emphasizes the mystical language used in these ghazals and how the concept of divine love, self-realization, and the quest for truth transcends into poetic expressions. This paper also examines the historical and cultural context of Sufism's influence on the Urdu literary tradition, providing a deeper understanding of the spiritual dimension of ghazal poetry. The findings underscore the convergence of literary and spiritual pursuits in the expression of mystical experience in Urdu Ghazal.
