Abstract
This article analyzes the impact of postmodernism on Urdu literature, exploring its influence on narrative structures, themes, and literary forms. Postmodernism, with its skepticism towards grand narratives and emphasis on deconstruction, has reshaped how Urdu literature reflects modern reality. Through the study of significant postmodern works in Urdu, this paper examines how concepts such as intertextuality, metafiction, fragmentation, and non-linear narratives have transformed the literary landscape. The article further investigates the ways in which postmodernist writers challenge traditional literary boundaries, creating a new space for innovative expressions in Urdu literature.
