Abstract
The evolution of modern literature in Pakistan has been shaped by a variety of cultural, social, and political influences since its creation in 1947. Pakistani literature reflects the diverse ethnic, linguistic, and historical backgrounds of the country. Over the decades, the literature has undergone significant transformations, particularly with the introduction of modernist and post-modernist movements. This article reviews the development of modern literature in Pakistan, examining its key phases, the impact of socio-political changes, and the contribution of prominent literary figures. The study highlights how literature in Pakistan serves as a tool for social change and reflects the evolving identity of the nation.
