MEDISENSE PLATFORMS FOR MENTAL HEALTH: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

Mental health disorders are among the most pressing global health challenges, particularly in developing countries such as Pakistan, where stigma, limited resources, and lack of trained professionals create barriers to care. Digital health technologies, and specifically Medisense platforms, present new opportunities to address these challenges through AI-driven screening tools, telepsychiatry, real-time monitoring, and personalized care strategies. This article examines the role of Medisense in mental health care, exploring opportunities for enhanced access, early intervention, and evidence-based treatment, while also addressing infrastructural, ethical, and policy challenges. Graphical illustrations demonstrate adoption trends, patient outcomes, and the barriers to implementation. Findings highlight that while Medisense can significantly expand access to mental health services in Pakistan, systemic reforms and robust ethical safeguards are required to ensure equitable and safe integration.
