ICTs provide ever-growing opportunities in this regard. Demonstration of digital diplomacy is overriding the traditional diplomatic practices. Internet and social media are particularly important for realizing the advantages of digital diplomacy. The application of these tools for diplomacy requires technological as well as diplomatic competence. This paper underlines the dynamics of digital diplomacy as new tool for the conduct of foreign policy. Further, the paper explains Pakistan’s politico-diplomatic imperatives of adopting digital diplomacy and the challenges that the country faces in this regard.
