Abstract
Ajmal Khattak is a prominent Pashto poet and political activist whose poetry reflects deep concern for social justice, class struggles, and national consciousness. His poems go beyond personal emotions, highlighting the hardships and rights of marginalized communities, includingpeasants, laborers, and the poor. Through vivid imagery and revolutionary language, Khattak portrays the exploitation faced by oppressed groups and advocates for equality, dignity, and unity. This analytical research examines how his poetry raises awareness of class distinctions while fostering a sense of national identity among Pashtuns. By considering historical, social, and political contexts, the study shows that Khattak’s work serves both literary and socio-political purposes. His writings blend romantic expression with a strong ideological message, making them a powerful tool for inspiring collective action and social change. Overall, Khattak’s poetry demonstrates the poet’s commitment to      justice, the empowerment of the marginalized, and the preservation of cultural and national identity, establishing him as a central figure in progressive Pashto literature.
