Abstract
This research paper examines the need for a renewed interpretation of Islamic Sharia in the context of modern legal systems. While Sharia law forms the foundation of Muslim societies, the evolving nature of global legal frameworks, technological advancements, and human rights discourses demand a re-engagement with traditional Islamic jurisprudence. This study explores how classical fiqh can coexist with contemporary legislative mechanisms without compromising Islamic ethical principles. It further highlights the necessity of Ijtihad, contextual interpretation, and legal adaptation in the face of socio-economic changes. The research concludes that aligning Sharia with modern law requires scholarly consensus, intellectual honesty, and an awareness of the global legal order.
