Abstract
“Taiseer-ul-Qur’ān” is a combination of orthodox and modernist interpretation and has deeply influenced modern Islamic thought. It differs from traditional exegeses in several ways. It is more than a traditional commentary on the scripture as it contains discussions and debates regarding economics, sociology, history, and politics. In this text, Abdul Rehman Kailani highlights Qur’ānic perspective and argues that Islam provides ample guidance in all spheres of life as well as challenges of new era (global village) where civilizations all over the World have merged in each other. This tafsīr deals extensively with issues faced by the modern world in general and the Muslim community in particular. The need of the hour is to introduce this excellent work of Kailani to everyone through this research paper.
