Abstract
This article aims to highlight the definition and meanings of child sexual grooming with particular attention to main causes and effects of child sexual grooming on child victims. Following thereto, the difficulties being faced by the law enforcement agencies to identify and cater the child sexual grooming. The unimaginable effects of child exploitation, including child sexual grooming, will also be examined in this research. The role and the contribution of online applications, developed by different renowned organizations to report and prevent child grooming; their role, functions, and effectiveness will be explained. The qualitative research methodology is utilized in this research. This study concludes that certain multifaceted steps and measures need to be taken by government agencies, educational institutions and civil society at least to reduce the rapidly growing negative impact of this social evil if not eliminated completely.
