Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic represents an unprecedented global health crisis, placing immense burdens on individuals and societies worldwide. Its impacts extend far beyond health, deeply influencing social structures and economic systems. However, these effects are not evenly distributed across populations; those with fewer resources face significantly greater negative consequences. This paper examines how the pandemic exacerbated existing social inequalities, using the theoretical lens of risk society and manufactured risks to understand the varying social impact.
