Abstract
लोक संगीत जीवन की आत्मा है जो किसी भी प्रान्त की संस्कृति पर आधारित होता है। विभिन्न प्रान्तों में प्रादेशिक संस्कृति की आवश्यकता के अनुसार भिन्न-भिन्न अवसरों पर जो गीत गाए जाते हैं, उन्हें लोक संगीत कहते हैं। लोक संगीत एक गौरवपूर्ण पृष्ठभूमि है। इसकी सुविकसित अवस्था के कारण ही लोक संगीत अन्य विधाओं का विकास माना जाता है। भारत का संगीत इतना व्यापक है कि हर पहलू को बता पाना कठिन है क्योंकि हर क्षेत्र व उस क्षेत्र के भी उपक्षेत्र का अपना एक अलग संगीत है जिसका संगीत की दृष्टि से अलग महत्त्व है।
