Abstract
यह शोध गोरखपुर जनपद में वर्ष 2017 से 2025 तक की अवधि में महिलाओं के राजनीतिक और आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण का एक विस्तृत विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करता है। इस अध्ययन का उद्देश्य यह समझना है कि इस अवधि के दौरान विभिन्न सरकारी योजनाओं, नीतियों और सामाजिक पहलों ने महिलाओं के जीवन पर क्या प्रभाव डाला और क्या वे वास्तव में अधिक सशक्त हो पाईं। अध्ययन से पता चला कि ग्राम पंचायतों में महिलाओं की भागीदारी बढ़ी है। आरक्षण के कारण कई महिलाएं ग्राम प्रधान और पंचायत सदस्य बनी हैं, लेकिन वास्तविक निर्णय लेने की शक्ति अभी भी उनके पति या परिवार के सदस्यों के हाथ में है। इसे “प्रधान पति" की अवधारणा कहा जाता है। हालांकि, कुछ महिलाएं, विशेषकर युवा और शिक्षित महिलाएं, अब अपने अधिकारों के प्रति अधिक जागरूक हैं और स्वयं निर्णय लेने लगी हैं। आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण में आर्थिक मोर्चे पर स्वयं सहायता समूहों (SHGs) ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है। गोरखपुर में अनेक महिलाएं इन समूहों से जुड़कर छोटे व्यवसाय जैसे अचार बनाना, सिलाई-कढ़ाई, और हस्तशिल्प आदि कर रही हैं। इन समूहों ने न केवल उन्हें आर्थिक रूप से आत्मनिर्भर बनाया है बल्कि उनमें आत्मविश्वास और सामाजिक एकजुटता भी बढ़ाई है। सरकारी योजनाओं जैसे मुद्रा लोन ने भी कुछ महिलाओं को अपना व्यवसाय शुरू करने में मदद की है। हालाँकि, ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में ऋण तक पहुँच की कमी, बाजार तक पहुँच का अभाव और जागरूकता की कमी अभी भी बड़ी चुनौतियाँ हैं।
