Abstract
Uzmanlık alanı çevre politikaları olan Andrew Dobson (D. 1957), Keele Üniversitesi’nde profesör ve aynı zamanda siyasetle yakından ilgilenen politika yazarıdır. Doğayı, insanı, ekolojik sistemi ve ideolojik yaklaşımları harmanlayarak birçok farklı çalışmaya imza atmıştır. Dobson, ekolojiyi klasik çevrecilik anlayışından ayırarak Ekolojizm’i ideolojik bir yaklaşım olarak ilan etmektedir. Ekolojinin en karmaşık sorunlarını çeşitli akıl yürütme metotları ile anlaşılır hale getirmesi, Dobson’ın bu eserini oldukça önemli bir hale getirmektedir. Andrew Dobson, doksanlı yıllarda başlayan teorik çalışmalarını pratiğe dökerek 2010 yılında yayımlanan Yeşil Parti’nin genel seçim bildirgesinin yazım sürecinde önemli bir rol üstlenmiş ve adından uzun bir süre söz ettirmiştir.
