Abstract
This paper explore the role of counselling approaches in enhancing political stability in Jigawa Staate. Political stability is crucial for modernization and development .the paper identify factors contributing to instability, such as ethnic violence, god-fatherism, terrorism, crime, corruption, and domestic violence. It discussed how instability impacts individuals, policy implementation, education, businesses, and the nation. The paper proposed that Counselling principles, which involve treating individuals with fairness and justice, are essential for addressing these issues such as greed, materialism, and oppression, by reshaping attitudes and value systems. It has recommended that counsellors conduct programs for politicians to promote moral conduct, contentment, and discipline, thereby fostering political stability.
