Abstract
There is no doubt today that Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is now a world-wide phenomenon. Its related tools have taken the centre stage in running the activities of most organizations in the world today. The result of the use of Information and Communication Technology has been found to be effective and work itself has become less tedious. This study titled “Impact of Information Technology on Service Delivery: A study of Ebonyi State Transport Corporation EBOTRANS” takes a look at how the application of Information and Communication Technology tool can improve the efficiency and effective service delivery in Nigerian sector. Data collected for the study were both from primary and secondary sources and analysed using tables and simple percentage. Some of the findings of the work involved the fact that the non-application of ICT tools has been that of mostly lack of literacy on the part of the workers and non-availability of the ICT tools in most public offices. Recommendations were proffered to help public services tap fully into the wealth of benefits accruing to the use of ICT and its tools.
