Abstract
This paper examines the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in biology education to enhance skill acquisition and support entrepreneurship education in Nigeria. Despite its central role in science education, biology instruction in many Nigerian schools remains constrained by limited laboratory access, outdated methods, and a lack of emphasis on applied learning. AI offers new possibilities through virtual labs, adaptive learning platforms, and data-driven applications that simulate real-world biological analysis and experimentation. These tools not only enhance content delivery but also support skill-based learning in areas such as biotechnology, environmental monitoring, and health informatics fields that intersect with entrepreneurship. While noting the infrastructural and policy-related constraints that hinder widespread adoption in Nigerian schools, the paper offers targeted recommendations to bridge existing gaps. These include investments in infrastructure, curriculum reform, teacher educator training, localized content development, and partnerships between educators and technology developers to localize AI tools. By aligning the adoption of AI technologies with educational and economic priorities, Nigeria can strengthen biology education in ways that build relevant skills, encourage innovation, and support science-based enterprise.
