Abstract
This study investigates the influence of community involvement on principals’ job performance in public secondary schools across North Central Nigeria. Community participation plays a vital role in promoting educational quality and strengthening principals’ effectiveness. Adopting a mixed-methods research design, the study integrates both quantitative and qualitative data. The results indicate that active community engagement significantly enhances principals’ job performance, especially in resource mobilization, school administration, and improvement of student outcomes. It is therefore recommended that school leaders and policymakers give greater priority to community participation in school programmes to further improve principals’ job effectiveness.
