Abstract
The study investigated the influence of principals’ managerial strategies on teachers’ job performance in public secondary schools within Ado Local Government Area, Ekiti State. Employing a descriptive survey design, data were gathered from a sample of 10 principals and 100 teachers selected through simple random sampling. The research instrument was validated by experts in Educational Management and Measurement, and its reliability, established through the test–retest method, yielded a coefficient of 0.75. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and z-test for hypothesis testing. The findings revealed that principals’ motivational practices, supervisory techniques, and staff training and development strategies had a significant positive impact on teachers’ job performance. The study recommended that principals should consistently apply effective supervisory and management strategies to enhance teachers’ productivity and overall school performance.
