Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both. This essay provides a comprehensive overview of diabetes mellitus, exploring its types, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment and management strategies. Additionally, it discusses the emerging field of nanoparticle-based therapies and their potential use in diabetes mellitus management. A thorough understanding of these aspects is essential for effectively managing diabetes and improving patient outcomes.
