Abstract
The advent of 5G networks has revolutionized communication by offering ultra-low latency, high bandwidth, and massive connectivity. However, these advancements also introduce significant security challenges, including data breaches, unauthorized access, and network attacks. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized and immutable nature, presents a promising solution to enhance data security in 5G environments. This paper explores the integration of blockchain into 5G networks to secure data transmission. We discuss various blockchain architectures, consensus mechanisms, and their applications in 5G, focusing on data integrity, authentication, and privacy. Additionally, we examine the role of edge computing and smart contracts in optimizing security protocols. Through case studies and simulations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of blockchain in mitigating common security threats in 5G networks. The findings suggest that blockchain can significantly bolster the security framework of 5G systems, paving the way for secure and reliable communication in future networks.
