Abstract
The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has led to an exponential increase in data generation, necessitating efficient processing mechanisms to ensure real-time responsiveness. Edge computing emerges as a pivotal solution by processing data closer to its source, thereby reducing latency and alleviating the burden on centralized cloud infrastructures. This paper explores the integration of edge computing in IoT ecosystems, emphasizing its role in enhancing performance, scalability, and security. Through a comprehensive analysis, we examine various edge computing architectures, their applications in low-latency scenarios, and the challenges associated with their implementation. The study aims to provide insights into the optimization of IoT systems through edge computing paradigms, highlighting the potential benefits and areas for future research.
