Abstract
Cloud computing has revolutionized data storage and processing, but it also introduces significant security and privacy concerns. Traditional encryption methods often require data to be decrypted for processing, exposing sensitive information to potential breaches. Homomorphic encryption (HE) addresses this issue by allowing computations on encrypted data without decryption. This paper explores the application of HE in enhancing cloud security, focusing on its mechanisms, benefits, challenges, and future prospects. Through a comprehensive analysis, we aim to provide insights into how HE can be integrated into cloud infrastructures to safeguard data privacy and integrity.
