Abstract
On considere un fluide tournant, initialement au repos, mais presentant une discontinuite de surelevation sur la surface le long d'une certaine ligne. 1) Si le fond est plat, l'ajustement entraine la formation d'un jet le long de cette ligne, la largeur du jet etant egal au rayon de deformation de Rossby; 2) si le fond presente une discontinuite en forme de marche perpendiculairement a la ligne ci-dessus, il y a onde double de Kelvin se propageant le long de la marche; l'ecoulement est alors detourne parallelement a cette derniere, et derriere le front d'onde , il n'y a pas de flux de masse a travers la marche; 3) si une cote verticale perpendiculaire a la marche est ajoutee; 2 cas se presentent: l'onde double de Kelvin s'eloigne de la cote, elle laisse derriere un etat sans transport a travers la marche; l'onde se rapproche, le courant littoral est confine dans une mince couche limite
