Abstract
Le modele utilise est lineaire, visqueux, et a stratification continue. La tension modelisee du vent est une representation de la variation annuelle des alizes dans l'Atlantique occidental. Les solutions sont presentees sous forme de developpement des modes baroclines du systeme. La reponse de chaque mode est trouvee numeriquement, en integrant a une frequence fixe (2π an −1 ). Resultats: lorsque les alizes se renforcent, le niveau marin baisse et la pycnocline s'eleve dans le golfe de Guinee; a 4°W la reponse annuelle est piegee a l'equation et a la cote africaine pres de 5°N; par contre, la reponse se propage au large, le long de la Cote sud de l'Afrique pres de 10°E; les phenomenes se propagent partout, vers le haut, dans le golfe de Guinee, et partout, vers le pole, le long de la cote africaine. La reponse n'est pas dominee par un mode barocline unique, mais se presente comme un faisceau d'ondes associees a plusieurs modes. L'energie se propage aussi bien verticalement qu'horizontalement
