Abstract
This study aims to describe the use of AI drone technology in the workplace and how it correlates with employees’ personal characteristics, self-esteem, and job performance. Specifically, DPWH's main office employees based in Manila uses drone technology to take pictures and collect the data needed for their completed projects. It sought to determine the association between the level of AI use in the workplace with their personal characteristics, level of their self-esteem, and level of their job performance. The research uses a quantitative methodological approach and a self-administered structured questionnaire as its data collection tool. It uses simple random sampling from 100 employees working in DPWH's main office in Manila. Data are analyze using descriptive statistics, including mean scores, frequencies, and percentages. The relationship between the level of use of AI drone technology in the workplace and the level of self-esteem are also investigated, and the results show a significant and positive moderate correlation between the two variables. Findings also reveal that AI drone technology using in the workplace and job performance has a significant and strong positive correlation. Also, since the level of self-esteem is significant and have a positive moderate correlation with using AI drone technology, it means that the employees have high self-belief when using AI technology and have strong self-assurance in their ability to tackle tasks independently. Moreover, the level of job performance is significant. It is more productive and the quality of their work improves with the use of AI technology.
