Abstract
As the usefulness and promise of robots in developing scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students become more widely acknowledged, incorporating robotics into science programs is becoming increasingly popular. This action research explores the effectiveness of using robotics as a tool in enhancing non-STEM senior high school students' understanding of Physics concepts and their attitude toward Physics. In this study, students (N=65) will utilize validated worksheets and manipulate robots to help them understand physics concepts in Physical Science. The parallel diagnostic tests revealed that there is a significant effect on the conceptual understanding of Mechanics in Physical Science subject. The Test of Science-Related Attitude (TOSRA) and the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) verified the effectiveness of the approach. Integrating robotics into science lessons provides students with various benefits, including improved scientific comprehension, developing crucial 21st-century skills, and preparing for future employment.
