Abstract
North Star Flour Milling Corp is a Filipino-owned, business-to-business manufacturing corporation engaged in the business of production and distribution of flour and pollard. The best selling product of the company is the soft flour branded as “Penguin”, it is classified as a 3rd class flour, which is primarily used in manufacturing biscuits and cookies, they also produce mill feed, also known as pollard, which is a byproduct of flour, used in manufacturing animal feeds. The company is now examining the viability of expanding their marketing and sales operations to expand their wholesale and supermarket businesses. They are also aiming to understand the concept of serving end-consumers directly through marketing and promoting a distinct and attractive brand to compete with market leaders like Maya and Magnolia. The researchers conducted a Usage, Attitude, Image Survey (UAI Survey), and used secondary data sources to gather information to identify possible target markets and create possible strategies for the company to employ when they choose to expand their operations. Aside from this, other information and data, such as a feasibility study that they conducted in 2014, were given by the company itself.
