Abstract
The proponents of this thesis have proposed a paper that will provide a comprehensive analysis on the impact of demographics on the relationship between e-money usage and financial inclusion. lt will attempt to determine whether age, gender, education, workforce participation and income level will have a significant effect on the financial inclusion in the Philippines. The methodology used by the proponents will be a probit regression model to analyze the data and assess whether the aforementioned variables have a significant effect on financial inclusion. The research is supplemented with data from the Global Findex Database, specifically the 2017th edition as the version is the only available data involving e-money usage variables. Moreover, the study will detail the current state of e-money usage and financial inclusion within the Philippines. The proponents have included a thorough research that encompasses different aspects that are beyond the scope of the study but should be taken into consideration such as network infrastructure, legal regulations, sociology and consumer behavior, financial inclusion accessibility and availability.
