Abstract
Noong Setyembre 21, 1972, isinailalim ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa Martial Law ang buong Pilipinas. Sa loob ng kanyang 21 na taong pamamahala, nakilala ang administrasyon ni Marcos sa pang-aabuso sa karapatang pantao ng mga Pilipino, lalo na sa oposisyon. Base sa mga dokumento ng Amnesty International, Task Force Detainees of the Philippines, at iba pang mga karapatang pantao na ahensya, mayroong isinagawang 3,257 na extrajudicial killings, 35,000 na tortures, at may 77 na hanggang ngayon ay nawawala, at 70,000 na ipinakulong. Ngunit ang mga istatistikang ito ay kadalasang itinataboy at binabago ng mga “troll” sa internet. At dahil kadalasang sa internet na kumukuha ng impormasyon ang mga kabataan, may mga mamamayang naniniwala o naloloko. Dito papasok ang mga pelikulang Martial Law bilang instrumentong panlaban sa maling impormasyon. Ngunit bakit nga ba kahit mahigit 30 taon na ang nakalipas, patuloy pa rin ang paggawa mga pelikulang Martial Law? At paano ito nagagamit bilang panlaban sa panahon ng disinformation at fake news?
