Abstract
Despite cultural advances embracing the LGBTQ+ community, particularly in the context of Drag Queens, persisting misconceptions about its creative nature and the unique avenue of self-expression it represents remain. This multimedia website aims to dispel these misconceptions by utilizing a platform to highlight the many facets of the life of Isra Jerone Ysmael, also known as Sarah G lookalike—a Drag Queen. The goal is to build a thorough grasp of the complexities inherent in Drag's career, as well as the nuanced habits of her daily existence outside of her profession.
This project aims to humanize Isra's experience by exploring her character, including documentation of her son and their relationship, and demonstrating that, fundamentally, she is no different than any other person. The website will include a variety of content, including images, essays, audio, and videos, providing an accessible lens through which people can gain insight into parts of Isra's identity and the greater domain of Drag as an art form.
